Arvon

Arvon runs an annual programme of residential creative writing courses at four writing houses – in Shropshire, Devon, West Yorkshire and Inverness. They are a charity, and have been helping writers to access their potential since 1968. Nothing is prescriptive, and everything is about encouraging your progression as a writer, whether you’ve been writing for a year or a decade.

Tutored by leading authors, the week-long courses in a range of genres include a powerful mix of workshops and individual tutorials, time and space to write Arvon orange logoand an inspirational rural setting.

Amongst the many courses are writing and editing fiction, non-fiction and poetry, untutored retreats for those seeking a quiet space to release their imagination, and genre bending novelties such as Book Art and Flash Fiction.
