How to enter

Wondering how to enter the SI Leeds Literary Prize?

The SI Leeds Literary Prize is biennial – the last edition was in 2018 and we intend to launch the 2020 Prize in the autumn of 2019.  Please watch this space for further details but expect that entries for the 2020 Prize will be accepted from 1 January 2020.

In previous years, we asked entrants to submit their full manuscripts electronically through the Submittable site, together with a 500 word synopsis,  and there was a £10 fee for each entry.  Submissions could be in .doc, .docx, .pdf and .rtf formats and all submissions are judged anonymously, so we asked you to leave your name off your manuscript, please.

The SI Leeds Literary Prize is open to Black and Asian women writers aged 18 or over, based in the UK and writing fiction in English.  For more information on eligibility, please check the eligibility section or read the full prize rules here.

If you have any further queries about the prize, please contact us.
